Under the Shadow of His Wings

Psalm 142:1-7 A prayer when He was in the cave. I cry out to the Lord with my voice; When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, I cried out to You, 0 Lord: I said, “You are my refuge,
He also wrote Psalm 57:1 during this time in the cave. “Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by.”

During his time in the cave, David wrote these Psalms which give us insight into what he was thinking during this hard time in his life.

David came to the conclusion that the Lord alone is His refuge. He realized that God Alone was everything that he needed and he was going to trust you until these things pass over me.

Maybe you’re in a difficult situation and getting pounded by the waves and God is using it to teach you to depend upon him. Draw near to God in the shadow of His wings and He will draw near to you! Let Him be your peace, comfort, guide and protector in the midst of the storm.
