Gods Protection

1 Samuel 19:22-24, “Then Saul also went to Ramah, and came to the great well that is at Sechu. So he asked, and said, ‘Where are Samuel and David?’ And someone said, ‘Indeed they are at Naioth in Ramah.’ So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.”
Saul also went to hunt down David but the same thing happened to him as God intervened in saving David’s life just like he did before. I think if there’s a point for us in this story when God calls us to do something, He’s going to watch over us and protect us. He’s going to be with us and nothing will be able to stop us! He’s going to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us to do the work that He’s called us to do. Where God guides, He provides! Does that mean there won’t be any opposition? No, there will be those who come against you but God’s with you and He’s going to take you where He wants you to go in spite of the opposition because God is faithful.
1 Thessalonians 5:24, “He who calls you is faithful who also will do it.”
Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.”
The Bible doesn’t say that weapons won’t be formed against us, but it does say they will not prosper. Gods plan and purpose will come to pass.
Whatever promise the Lord has given you, be patient. You may go through hardship. You may have some spears thrown at you. If He promised it, it’s going to happen. It’s a good lesson for us to be patient.
