Waiting For An Answer?

1 Samuel 20:19-22, “And when you have stayed three days, go down quickly and come to the place where you hid on the day of the deed; and remain by the stone Ezel. Then I will shoot three arrows to the side, as though I shot at a target; and there I will send a lad, saying, ‘Go, find the arrows. If I expressly say to the lad, ‘Look, the arrows are on this side of you; get them and come’ -then, as the Lord lives, there is safety for you and no harm. But if I say thus to the young man, ‘Look, the arrows are beyond you’-go your way, for the Lord has sent you away.”
Think about how David felt waiting three days while camping at the rock. Have you ever waited on an answer for something and whatever the response is gonna be, it’s a major thing? Maybe you are waiting for direction or waiting for wisdom on which way to go. God will show you the way! Stay close to Jesus in your morning devotions and tell him your fears and your concerns and your worries and he will show you the way you are to go.
Jesus hid behind a rock for 3 days and then he rose from the dead.
There’s a lot of uncertainty in our lives and in the world. There’s a lot of things that are unknown to us. We think we know what’s going to happen tomorrow but really, it’s all an unknown.
The rock is a picture of stability, a picture of strength a foundational structure that can’t be moved. That’s exactly why Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:24 that the wise man builds his house on the rock so whenever there’s an unknown in our lives run to Jesus!
