Get Wisdom from the Lord

Get Wisdom from the Lord
by: Pastor Ryan Scheibel

1 Samuel 19:11, “Saul also sent messengers to David’s house to watch him and to kill him in the morning and Michal, David’s wife, told him, saying, ‘If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.’”

Saul sent assassins to David’s house to find and kill him and his wife Michal told him he better leave tonight, or he will be a dead man.

Wise wives are critical to their husbands. Your wisdom is critical in hard times like this so make sure that your wisdom is from the Lord through His Word. Your input can sway him for good or for evil. It can sway him to get someone back or let it go.
I’m thankful that I have a wife that will always point me toward the Lord and what’s right in the Word of God and who is a prayer warrior.

Here we are reading of when Psalm 59 was birthed in the heart of David when he penned it.

We will see he doesn’t lose sight of God and he stays close to the Lord in the storm. David used his experience of being antagonized as fuel for his prayer life. Psalm 59 was written during one of the worst times of his life.

Spurgeon said, “It is the trials of the saints that produce the songs of the sanctuary.”
