Set Free

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
I stopped by Zamzows today. When I went inside and told them what I needed, the young man said I should go see the bird a customer brought in. I did and the woman had a good sized parrot standing on her wrist. I told her how cool her parrot was and that it was so much better than a wrist watch. Then I went to get my propane tank I brought in filled.
The same young man that told me about the parrot helped me. I learned he loved birds and dogs and cats. I also learned his girlfriend had a cat that didn’t like him.
Inside, the parrot lady was now at the counter. It was then I noticed a lady with her had a bearded dragon on her shoulder. Quite the accessories.
When they left, the bearded dragon led into a conversation with the young man and now young lady about my 10 horned toads and alligator lizard I had as pets in 1971 and the earthquake that hit when I lived in Sylmar, California.
How we lived outside in a trailer after the earthquake for months. How during that time, I had put the aquarium with my 10 horned toads and alligator lizard behind the car in the shade.
Then how my dad backed the car up and shattered the aquarium. And how the alligator lizard was long gone but somehow all 10 horned toads survived and stayed in all the brokenness.
And then I said, “they didn’t even realize they had been set free!”
Now, think about all that and apply it to what Jesus has done for us.
