Transformed

Transformed
by: Pastor Ryan Scheibel

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all with unveiled face beholding as in the mirror the glory of the lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory just as by the spirit of the Lord.

I love that word transformed because the Greek word is metamorpho, it's where we get our English word metamorphosis that process of the caterpillar becoming a butterfly and the beautiful thing is as we hang around Jesus, then some of Jesus rubs off on us. If you spend time with Jesus, it will change who you are as you might come to Him one way but you don't stay that way!

After the apostles had been filled with the Holy Spirit, they stood before the Sanhedrin. It says they took note of these men and that they were uneducated and untrained, but they also took note of the fact that they had been with Jesus and were mighty men now!
It's just like Moses when he hung out with the Lord to get the ten commandments. The Bible says he was glowing because he was with God, the light of the world.

We become like the people we hang around. That's why people say when a couple's been together a long time y'all starting to look alike and its true. Some of my wife has rubbed off on me and some of me has rubbed off on her. It's important to choose your friends wisely.
