Satisfying Bread

Satisfying Bread
by: Pastor Ryan Scheibel

Luke 2:4, “Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David.”

Bethlehem was not a popular place. It was a small village (I’ve been to Bethlehem). The word Bethlehem means: “House of bread”. This is so awesome because Jesus, “The bread of life” was born there.

The “Bread of Life” came out of the “house of bread.”

Jesus said in John 6:35, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger.”
Jesus was saying He will satisfy us! I love bread!! Have you ever been so hungry and bread satisfied you?

In life, we all hunger and pursue things to satisfy and fulfill us but only Jesus Christ can truly satisfy us! All the Christmas presents under the tree will not fully satisfy us or bring us lasting joy but Gods presence in your life will. Seek Him first!
