Overcomer

Overcomer

1 Samuel 17:34-36, “But David said to Saul, ‘Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.’”

David was showing Saul his resume. I’m pretty good at beating things up that are bigger than me. I beat up a lion and bear! Put me in, coach.”

How do you overcome the giants of doubt? You do the very things that David did. David remembered how God helped him in the past. The first thing you do to face the Giants and to fulfill your dream is remember how God has helped you in the past. It’s a confidence builder when we remember how God has helped us in the past as it gives us confidence for the future. I remember those time I thought I wasn’t going to make it, but I did with Gods help. I remember that time I thought it was the end but it wasn’t because God made a way when it looked like there was no way!
