This I Know
This I Know

Psalm 56:9-10, “When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me. In God (I will praise His word), In the Lord (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
David was running for his life and tells us what’s going through his mind as he writes down his thoughts as this is happening when the Philistines captured him in Gath.
You see David’s heart as he says I’m about to be swallowed up, I’m oppressed by my enemies, I’m hounded, I’m fearful.
I love how David says in the midst of all the confusion, fear and uncertainty, this I know, this is what I’m holding on to, I know God is for me! There’s a lot of people against me but if God is for me, then who can be against me?
David knew that God was for him and he said I’m gonna trust in You, God. I know there’s so much he didn’t know, where he would land, how long it would be if he’d ever be the king, would it ever come to pass? There was alot of I don’t knows, but I love how he says what I do know is that GOD IS FOR ME!
It reminds me of the song Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so!
If you’re in Christ, God is for you and you can trust in Him as He is faithful and He will bring you through whatever difficulty you’re facing.
