Faith

Faith
by: Pastor Ryan Scheibel
1 Samuel 17:31-34, “Now when the words which David spoke were heard, they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him. Then David said to Saul, ‘Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.’ And Saul said to David, ‘You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.’”
Another dream Buster that David faced was the giant of doubt. Saul doubted his ability. When King Saul hears that this young man is willing to take on the giant, Saul said there’s no way you can go against this Philistine. You’re only a boy and he’s been a professional warrior all his life. You can’t do it!
Our enemy, the devil, likes to get in our head and say,, “You’re only...” the giant of doubt often comes to keep us from accomplishing the great dream God gave you! I bet Saul just kind of laughed when he heard this teenager David say he’ll go fight with him. What Saul was not calculating was nothing is impossible with God and David had faith in God to help Him!
“When we walk by faith, God comes into the situation which always changes the results and makes the impossible possible”
Faith is looking at situations from God’s perspective. Faith taps into God’s strength and focusses on God’s plan despite of all the challenges. Faith expands our capacity to see beyond what we can see so we see as God sees! Faith enables God’s presence and power in our circumstances. “The righteous shall live by faith.”
