Christ-Mas

Romans 8:1-4 NIV
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Wow, what fantastic news for us to take into Friday. NO CONDEMNATION!!! Shout if from the rooftops, rent an airplane and fly a banner from it as you fly across the sky.
Everything changed when God executed His plan by having His One and Only Son die in our place. Once we were darkness but now we are light. Once we were lost but now we are found. Once we were dead in our sins but now we are raised to new life in Christ.
All of the requirements of the law and sacrifices made for sin never had the power to actually forgive sin but just symbolically rolled them back and back. They were a picture pointing to the Only One, Jesus, that could take care of the sins of the world, past, present and future. Our Savior, Our Redeemer, Our One and Only, Jesus, the Savior of the world.
As we celebrate this Christmas season, let’s remember clearly what this season is all about. Without Christ, Christmas is just “mas.” Let’s never take our Christ out of Christmas.
