Poisonous Sin

1 Samuel 18:8-9, “Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, ‘They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?’”

Here we see Saul eyed David from that day forward. We see Saul gives David the evil eye or some people call it the stink eye because he was jealous God was raising him up.
We must do all we can to keep this dangerous poisonous sin from entering our hearts because it will cause us to say and do awful things when we allow jealousy and envy take root inside of us and we will become bad witnesses and miserable like Saul.

Proverbs 14:30 says, “A sound heart is life to the body but envy is rottenness to the bones.”
